Forest Health Survey Monitor

Looking for biological survey experience? We are looking for a volunteer to conduct a few forest health surveys throughout the summer.

Tasks:

Assist the Monitoring Technician with:

  • Forest Health surveys
  • Invasive species and disease monitoring
  • Tree and shrub identification and surveying
  • Monitoring existing plots and identifying new monitoring locations

We are asking volunteers to commit 5-7  days throughout the July & August.

Typically ½ day durations, but flexible

Required Qualifications:

  • Physically fit for covering uneven terrain
  • Previous field experience an asset
  • Previous experience with southern Ontario tree and/or invasive species identification an asset
  • CPR/First Aid training an asset

Training Provided:

Orientation will be given during monitoring sessions
