Forest Canopy Monitor

Tasks:

Assist the Monitoring Technician with:

  1. Measuring Tree Heights in Forest Health Plots
  2. Record keeping

Time frame and location:

Volunteers should be able to commit to 5-7 days throughout late October/ early November. Typically ½ day duration, but flexible.

Volunteering will take place on site on rare property.

Required Qualifications:

  • Physically fit for covering uneven terrain
  • CPR/First Aid training an asset
  • Previous field experience an asset

Training Provided:

Orientation will be given during monitoring sessions.

Position will report to the Ecological Monitoring Technician.
