Saturday, March 11, 2017 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Meet at rare ECO Centre
Worms! They are sliding along our sidewalks, creeping in our compost, and hanging on our fishing hooks. But how much do you really know about them? How long do they live? Do they hibernate? What do they eat? Are they invasive species? (YES!) Come out for a worm-filled afternoon with Heather Cray, rare volunteer and PhD student at the University of Waterloo to talk worm science and explore the wonderful world of vermicomposting! Heather will present some of her current worm research and give a crash course on how to compost when you don't have access to a green bin (worms, the answer is always worms.)
Cost: $8.00 or $3.00 with an Events Discount card
