8:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. — Conversation for Conservation

The Pollinators film screening available from April 18 – April 24, 2021

Join rare for the third Conversation for Conservation this Earth Day!

Join rare’s Planning Ecologist, Dr. Tom Woodcock to learn about problems faced by honey bees and beekeepers under modern agriculture, then dig even deeper into the world of pollinators at work in our agricultural fields and orchards, wild habitats, and even in our own backyards.

As part of this Conversation for Conservation, we are celebrating Earth Day with the streaming of the award-winning film, The Pollinators. The Pollinators film provides an unflinching look at bees’ trouble-filled lives and warns us about the future of food security. Free streaming of the film will be available for one week starting Sunday, April 18.

Help to protect the habitat of local pollinators and Turn the Map Green. We are over halfway to our $30,000 goal for land protection! Please consider making a donation between $5 and $20 while participating in this Earth Day Conversation for Conservation.

How many square metres will you turn green?
