Native Plant Propagation – Summer Seed Collection – Afternoon, September 15

Join us in improving biodiversity at rare and throughout the community by growing native plants! Opportunities throughout the year allow you to join activities such as seed collection, seed sowing, and eventually planting the native plants! All skill levels are welcome as staff will be on site to guide the hike, identify species and provide instructions on proper seed collection and sowing techniques. Necessary equipment will also be provided.

Summer Seed Collection + Potential Plant Backs (August 18- afternoon; Sept 15- afternoon): Similar to the spring seed collection, this event will start with a hike and seed collection, along with some seed sowing. As different plants mature over the season, we will collect a few different native plant seeds than the spring collection. If the plants from last year are ready, we may also plant back native plants in restoration areas as we go!

Cost: This event is FREE
