Periwinkle Pull

Help us remove Lesser Periwinkle (vinca minor), an invasive ground cover, from the new Edgewood property. Periwinkle was introduced to North America as an ornamental plant, due to their ability to persist in shady environments and create a dense carpet of vegetation. Unfortunately, this tendency excludes native species and tends to take over large areas. Volunteers will help remove a large patch located at the trail entrance off Park Street which is slowly making its way into core habitat.

*Due to COVID-19, the 2021 field season may look a little different. Land Management events are subject to change or cancellation.
