On Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., join us at rare's Slit Barn at 768 Blair Road for our annual Spring Plant Sale & EcoMarket!
Choose from a diverse array of seedlings: hot peppers, sweet peppers, tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, squash, all kinds of herbs, leafy greens, beneficial flowers and native pollinators that have been grown by Springbank Food Bank staff and volunteers to fundraise for rare!
All proceeds raised by the Spring Plant Sale will support the Food Bank Gardens at Springbank Farm, ensuring the growth of healthy, fresh, organic produce for those in need in our community.
You can shop the EcoMarket underneath the big tent outside the Slit Barn which will be hosting a dozen local artisans, eco-friendly small businesses, and socially conscious community groups whose gifts can be added to your gardens and homes.
Stay tuned for our Call for Vendors!
This event takes place rain or shine.
This event takes place on the Haldimand Tract, which spans six miles on both sides of the Grand River, from source to mouth. We are grateful to the original stewards of the rare sites, and we thank them and honour their love and respect for the land as we gather and create community, chi-miigwech, Mississaugas of the Credit and to the Onkwehon:we Peoples of Six Nations of the Grand River, nia:wen.
