Hundreds of citizens speak up to express concerns about municipal delays in record-breaking land donation.

Soon after the Schneider Family’s call to action on Schneider’s Woods and its donation to rare, photographer Phil Drennan approached us and kindly shared a link to his cache of photographs.

As March Madness grabs our attention online and in the media, we are launching March Species Madness to raise awareness of the many species that can be found in and around rare, metaphorically pitting them against each other in popularity contests to see which species wins the hearts and minds of our supporters.

The Grand River trails at rare, which were closed to the public in November 2023, are now reopen, although visitors should continue to take care to watch out for icy conditions and weather patterns.
