Spring Plant Sale and EcoMarket, taking place Saturday, May 13, rain or shine!

Spring Plant Sale and EcoMarket 2023

On Saturday, May 13, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., come to the rare ECOCentre and Slit Barn at 768 Blair Road for our annual Spring Plant Sale and ECO Market. Here, you can browse and buy thousands of spring seedlings grown in the greenhouses at Springbank Farm. Vegetables, herbs, fruit, flowers and native pollinator species will be available to purchase for planting in your garden.

While you’re here, be sure to visit the vendors of the EcoMarket in the big tent outside the Slit Barn. We are again inviting local artisans, eco-friendly small businesses and socially and environmentally inclined community groups to come out, sell their wares, and share a special time with attendees. It promises to be a grand day out.

The event takes place rise or shine. All proceeds raised by the plant sale will support the Food Bank Gardens at Springbank Farm, ensuring the growth of healthy, fresh, organic produce for those in need in our community.

This event takes place on the Haldimand Tract, which spans six miles on both sides of the Grand River, from source to mouth. We are grateful to the original stewards of the rare sites, and we thank them and honour their love and respect for the land as we gather and create community, chi-miigwech, Mississaugas of the Credit and to the Onkwehon:we Peoples of Six Nations of the Grand River, nia:wen.
