Donor Programs

We are grateful for every donation we receive, as every little bit helps. Just $2 is enough to preserve one square metre of rare land now and into the future. But for those who want to give more or tailor their donations to do more, we are pleased to offer a number of different programs.

Ambassadors Circle

The Ambassadors Circle recognizes donors giving at the $1,000 level, or above, per year. Click here to become a member of the Ambassador’s Circle, or contact Christine Thompson, Major Gifts Manager, at christine.thompson at raresites.org or by calling 519-650-9336 x118.

Bedrock Club

Donors pledge to give monthly to our highest priority need and are the foundation of our organization. Bedrock Club Donors help rare to plan for the future by giving a gift that is committed, predictable, and critical to every step we take. Corporations for Conservation

The rare Charitable Research Reserve acknowledges and supports the conservation efforts of leading companies by assigning them membership in rare’s Corporations for Conservation.

For some companies, this designation will be recognition of what they have already done to act as stewards of our environment via their business practices. For others, it will be aspirational, offering them rare’s expertise and support as they work toward deeper conservation practices. For all, it will be an acknowledgement that their annual support of rare at the level of $5,000/year for a minimum of five years, is a clear sign of their support for conservation.

Eramosa River Conservation Corridor

The properties in the Eramosa Corridor are highly sensitive, and include mature forest, floodplain habitats, and Provincially Significant Wetlands. The health of the river, is largely dependent on the stewardship of the adjacent lands. Your support can change the course of history in conservation, not only in Ontario, but nationally where the goals are high and the time short.

Legacy Giving

Like the mighty bur oak that has been standing in Blair Flats for more than 250 years, with new generations of species growing around it, your legacy will stand tall and ensure rare’s lands remain intact in perpetuity – promoting healthy water soil, air and the diversity of plants and animals that are paramount for human well-being and ongoing economic stability.
