Moccasin Making Workshop

Saturday, October 19, 2019
10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
rare ECO Centre

Aanii (Hello/ I see your light)!

Please join us and local Haudenosaunee Knowledge Guardian, Christine Lefebvre in a moccasin making workshop, where you will assemble a pre-made triple sole moose hide moccasin kit. You will leave the workshop with a versatile pair of ankle-height moccasins that fit your feet perfectly! The best part is, you don’t need any prior experience.

Everyone is welcome, however, space is limited. In case of over-subscription, Indigenous Peoples (self-identified and status First Nations, Métis & Inuit) will be given priority placement in this workshop. We thank the Lyle S. Hallman Foundation for their funding towards supporting safe and healthy spaces for Indigenous learning in Waterloo Region.

As an organization committed to inclusivity and reciprocal practice, we recognize, support and encourage Indigenous ceremonies practised on site by Indigenous elders, volunteers, employees and students in classrooms, meeting rooms, gathering places, offices, cultural events and meetings.

Miigwech (thank you) for your interest!

This event is FREE!

*Please note that a $150.00 charge will be made to anyone who has registered for this workshop but doesn’t attend.
